How Does God feel about Abortions?

Does anybody care? Does anyone care about the precious life of an unborn baby? What would be some reasons why a woman would kill her own baby? Is abortion justified in God's eyes? DO men feel bad when their baby is aborted?....Does abortion adversely affect the medical practitioners performing an abortion on a regular basis? Aren't you glad your parents didn't abort you?

This is a complex question. But, I believe, the answer should be between the woman, God, and the unborn baby! It's no one else's business.

What if a woman found out in the Bible that God hates the murder or killing of innocent babies? Now what? It becomes a matter of whether she's going to listen to God and not abort her baby or listen to her own desires and wants.

@itslikethistome What if the woman in question isn't religious, what if she doesn't even believe in God? There are such people and that doesn't man they're evil or bad either. Do you believe in any exceptions to your stance against abortion? What if the mother's life or health is in danger?

@itslikethistome Like I said, that is a matter purely between the woman and God.. It's not for anyone to meddle or say "this is wrong, that is right.." Jesus came to forgive the sinners and encourage his disciples to do the same. If it's good enough for Jesus it's good enough for me. For judgement belongs to God

If we are talking about abortion from the God side, it is certain that abortion is a sin because it is only God's will to terminate a life. From the medical side, abortion can be justified for aiming health or life of the mother. Therefore, not all doctors want to meet the demand for abortion. In terms of parenting, abortion can certainly shake up their mind because when will decide to have an abortion, parents in a dilemma conditions, one side thinks if it was the will of God who wants to test the faith, meanwhile, the other side thinks to save soul wife and child survival.

@itslikethistome Jackie, I'm not sure I follow you and I don't think you answered the question I asked you earlier. Are you saying that if BEFORE the time of childbirth a doctor says continuing the pregnancy puts the woman's life at risk she should still be forced to carry the pregnancy to term? I'm sorry but that's not for you to say.

Does a doctor's opinion that allowing a pregnancy to go full term would be harmful to the health of the mother justify an abortion? Medical opinions are sometimes wrong. Would it be right to kill a fellow human because that one MIGHT harm his fellowman? If "at the time of childbirth" (Not before the time of childbirth) a choice must be made between the life of the mother and that of the child, it is up to the individuals concerned to make that choice. However, advances in medical procedures in many lands have made this scenario rare.

The unborn baby is caught between a rock and a hard place.

You ask a lot of questions here but provide none of the answers. This isn't a simple subject, not by a long shot. How God feels about abortions and whether someone "cares" or not depends entirely on the individual. Deeply religious people, especially Catholics, are often opposed to abortion under any circumstances; some are actually still opposed to BIRTH CONTROL. Our government isn't ruled by the Catholic Church or any other religion, we have a Separation of Church and State. When a woman is compelled to seek an abortion it's usually one of the most difficult decisions she's ever had to make. I know somebody will mention the exceptions to that but there are always exceptions, there aren't millions of women and young girls who use abortion as birth control. The bottom line is this is a very personal choice and it's one that must be preserved. Abortion should remain legal, safe and rare. We sure don't want to be "taken back" to the days of the back alley quacks and women and young girls attempting self-abortion, in too many cases ending up losing their lives like my mother's young cousin did many years ago.

@itslikethistome There's nothing wrong with asking questions and I agree that it's great to get people to think about things they never thought about. That's what I like about this site. Here's MY question - are you alright with us being taken back to those days of back alley abortions by unlicensed quacks under often unsanitary conditions? Do you think a rape or incest victim should be forced to have her attacker's child?

I like asking a lot of questions. Gets people to thinking on things they maybe never have thought about.

@anniepa Life is harsh and be cruel when a woman or girl is raped or is forced into incestuous relations....However, I believe there are other humane ways/options in dealing with those two scenarios......A young girl who becomes pregnant may have of option of her parent(s) to help her raise the baby. Her parents can adopt her baby. There are many childless couples who desire having a baby, the "newer" the better for them....A struggling mother who already has mouths to feed may be strongly tempted to abort her unborn baby, but she thinks of the afore mentioned options. Then there are agencies that offer assistance for dependent families who are struggling, so she reasons "We're gonna make it somehow, it won't be easy, but somehow with God's help we're gonna make it", as she gently rubs her belly feeling the faint movements of her precious unborn still "baking" in the oven.

Because the unborn baby can't shout or protest physically doesn't it have a right to live?

Absolutely, the unborn baby has to have an advocate or voice for them too

There are a lot of reasons for different people. Some may have justifications, and many do it for their personal reason. God is not in favor of course of abortions. It is considered as murder in my own personal interpretation. In the early civilization, based on history, there are very rare women who want to abort their child for any reason. In today's generation, there are lots of women, especially those who get pregnant at an early age, who just do it without thinking of the consequences it can bring them in the present and even in the future. I'm glad my mother is not a believer of abortion, but longs to have a child. When I was conceived in her womb, she rejoiced with great exceeding joy for God blessed her with a man-child that she was proud of.

You started out on the right track - "There are a lot of reasons for different people". That is the point, there are nearly as many reasons as there are women who seek abortions. I refuse to believe there are "lots of women" who just do it without thinking of the consequences. Would you force a woman who had been raped, a young girl who had been the victim of incest or the wife or girlfriend of an abusive man to carry a pregnancy to term if you had the chance? I'm sorry but it's not for you or me to judge.

Abortion isn't a topic about which anyone "feels good", that's for sure. I've never been faced with that choice and I've long since reached the point in my life where I never will but I know I have no right to judge someone else. I'm totally against late-term abortions except in very rare cases but the majority of abortions are done in the very early weeks of pregnancy. To ask the question "Why did she kill her baby" is oversimplifying a very complex issue.

Please note that this is meant to be purely "sarcastic"...I'm thinking even God would agree the world would be better off if Donald Trump's mother had believed in abortion! Any thoughts?

I have no idea on that. I think we can't assume either.

Well I would say that abortion is a necessary evil. Just think if no abortion would take place, how would it effect the population. I dont know whether it is justified in God's eyes or not.

Aren't you happy that your mom/dad didn't consider you a "necessary evil" by NOT aborting you?

@itslikethistome Jackie, that's not really a fair question, is it? I mean, I don't know Anamika but there's nothing to indicate her mother was in the type of desperate situation most women who seek abortions feel they're in.

@anniepa My question is more than fair because it causes one to think and say: "Yeah I'm glad my parents didn't abort me, I'm glad they didn't feel that aborting me is a "necessary evil" Or none of us would be here conversing on MyLot had abortion occurred in our case. Perhaps I should have said: "Aren't WE glad that our parents didn't consider us a necessary evil?"
