Day 133 Psalm 119:113 Psalm 119:113 SAMECH. I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love. 114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. 115 Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God. 116 Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope. 117 Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually. 118 Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood. 119 Thou put away all the wicked of the earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies. 120 My flesh trembles for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments. Where is your hiding place? Where do you go when life gets so bogged down and overwhelming that you need some time just for you where you feel safe and refreshed from all that life has put on you? The psalmist’s hiding place was God’s Word. It was there he found peace and safety from the troubles of the world. It was in reading God’s law that he found the promises of God to keep him safe from all wickedness and those who practiced evil. Reading how God would protect him and bring judgment on those who did not trust in him, caused him to love God’s Word more every day. As Christians, we have those same promises. Reading and studying the Bible, brings peace and joy, knowing how much God loves us and will take care of us. We have nothing to be afraid of in this life, no matter how bad it looks. God will take care of us. God is our hiding place as well. He is our shield and defense against every form of wickedness. We have nothing to be afraid of. Psalm 56:3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. (KJV) Let’s pray: Father, you are my hiding place. You are the one I go to when life gets so overwhelming I don’t know where to turn. In you I find peace and safety. Help me never to be afraid of what you promised to take care of for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. It's wonderful, and of course the best to make time to have God time. God time can be what you did: to read God's Word and meditate upon it, learn from it, and apply what is in it. God time can be our prayer. I am glad and happy to know that in spite of the busyness of the world and trying to keep us busy always, there are still God-loving Christians like you who are truly salt and light for this world. My prayers are with you, and may our Great God bless you abundantly for His glory.

Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment. I only do what God instilled in me to do, present his Word to whoever wants to read it and whoever the Holy Spirit draws to read it. It's God's Word not mine.
