The Biggest Lie I Ever Told

Good morning to all from my beautiful country! It is the 15th day of the challenge I gave to myself that I started last July- and that is, to post one topic a day here in Mylot. I couldn't believe it that I actually could do it continuously if I only make this as one of my priorities. My main purpose for doing this is not for earning but by exercising myself when it comes to writing and I can only post every day by means of reading first. So, its like I will spend time reading and write here afterwards. For a long time, I have been always telling myself that I do not have the time to do whatever it is that I wanted to do. And now, I have realized it was the greatest lie that I ever told myself. The truth is that I have enough time to do everything that I want to do if I only how to set my priorities. Have you ever experienced that there are too many things to do and yet there is not enough time? I think, if you do, then this is the perfect moment to list your priorities. My priorities at present are: be a good provider to my family and be a good and effective writer.

Time management is the key to having time to do more things. Glad that you are continuing your challenge. Continued success to you!

@annierose in terms of writing, I have some stuff that I want to post here in myLot but it has taken a backseat. Perhaps, I'll go on and post one each day like what you are doing. I'm just concentrating on interacting here as much as I can to earn the minimum payout amount.

@allen0187 That would be a good idea. Let us keep encouraging each other so no one will be left behind. When will you start yours?

True! And I think it is because I wanted it so bad to have a progress in my writing skills. I do have some things that I want to achieve but I do not give them much importance just like in writing. How about you?

I have too many things to do but time is not enough. It happens to me every Saturday and Sunday. I want everything done but I can't because the two days are really not enough.

Back in the university days of my life, I met my friends twice a week. Tuesday and Friday night. In U.P., Wednesdays are always free except when there are long exams which are scheduled on that day. Whenever Tuesday and fRiday comes, I feel like we didn't have enough time to be with each other. I wish it were longer. But that's not because we have too many things to do of course lol! But it's just because I wanted to spend longer time having fun with them and when it's time to say goodbye, my heart ached and yearned for them.

Have you ever set a schedule to have a bonding with them whenever you are free?

@annierose Back when we were university students? That was our free time lol! And those are all men. These days we can't seem to meet as much as we want as they each have their own family. We do meet once in awhile though but not from sunset to sunrise anymore.

Since HS, I have a calendar of to do things. That guides me what to prioritize on that day and on that month.. :)

@wiLLmaH Yes, that happens to me too. Just like what happened last weekend. I usually prefer to post here in the morning; however, since I need to go to work very early in the morning I delayed my posting here. Anyway, I think it is better to be late in our task than not to do it at all.

@annierose Most of the time it is non-negotiable schedule. haha! Unless something came up that is more urgent to another. Then I will move the "to do" list on another day.

I always thought that what I had enough time to do the things that I want? I always asked myself. the fact is I have always had a great time but I let it pass without doing anything. Now I try to enjoy each of my activities, including in terms of deciding what should I prioritize.

I keep a list of things to do. It is true that there are so many and it seems that there is never enough time to complete everything.

My 31-day challenge will end in Mid-August and as I have noticed, it has been helping me to practice more with my vocabulary and writing. Thanks for the nice thoughts. How about your priorities?

It's good that you came to realize that you can do everything good that you desire to accomplish. It's just a mental discipline that we can put on ourselves. I am happy for you having goals to accomplish. I know you have the ability to succeed, even becoming not only an effective writer but a great one at that. As I look at those numbers on your name's left side, it tells me that you are already one of the seasoned members of this site. You've undergone a lot of experiences that have helped you become better than yesterday. And oh truly, our country is beautiful.

Hi @ValueAdder! Thank you very much for the wonderful response and for the encouragement. A year ago, I made a bucket list and one of that is to be able to publish a book -- to be a writer. I am still under construction when it comes to writing-- I am still on the processing stage but I will not give up no matter how tough it may turn out to be. By the way, how about you? What are your priorities?

Hello @annierose. As of this time, my priorities are: to do God's will in my life serving Him in the ministry He puts me to; to build a large, active, and successful business organization; to give value to others. Thank you for asking.
