I don't have any dogs, but I always keep seeing and hearing that it's not good for the dogs to change up their dog foods. Something about how dogs are wimps now because we've domesticated them so much. Anyhow, I imagine over time they would get used to the new food, but that's probably not too comforting to you right now with them going to the bathroom all over the place!

A friend of mine just posted about the same thing on Facebook. First of all, mix the old and new together, adding more new to the mix every few days until they are completely changed over. This is a common problem that you are describing. To help their tummies get them some plain yogurt. This is what the vet had my friend do.

With being on a tight budget I bought a less expensive dog food and don't have any of the old dog food but is there a certain amount of plain yogurt to give them daily?I don't want to give them to much or not enough

get some yogurt and give them a little of that. plain yogurt not the kind with fruit. and when you clean up the messes clean with vinager . it will stop them from returning to the same spot at least. yes it doesn't smell great, the vinegar but that will soon go away and better then dog stuff.

Have you ever tried feeding them raw food?

@Lina9270 I don't think that is a good idea. might make their stomachs worse.

@Lina9270 Yes. And when you feed raw they only poop once a day. But dog food that contains grains and unhealthy diet for dogs, they will poop ever so often.
