Sending a Man & Boy Out To Shop

August 5, 2016 9:51am CST
Tomorrow we're having a big family birthday party here at my house. We'll be celebrating 3 grandkids birthdays ( two just turned 11 & one 12) plus my son who all had birthdays in July. Unfortunately we weren't able to get together during July so this was the first date everyone was free. My son in law and grandson (his birthday is one we're celebrating) are going to the store today to buy all the stuff we need for the party. Am I crazy to let a grown man and an 11 yr old do the shopping? I probably am but my daughter has faith that they'll be able to accomplish this task. I already made the list and I'll be curious to see if they follow it and how much extra stuff they add to the cart Guess only time will tell if this is a good idea or not...

I'm sure they will have fun and even they don't at least I don't have to do it (trying to put a positive spin on this idea)

It's the 11 yr old who'll be adding things, men usually just get whats on the list and get out as quick as they can.

Hopefully two "men" make a woman. I think they may call you several times to be sure they're buying the right stuff. I often do so when I go shopping with my father and my mother stays home. As long as they pay by themselves, extra stuff is fine.

I know that when I send my hubby out to get anything, he gets most of what is on the list, and then another cart-full of things that were not on the list. I guess its a guy-thing!

So, how did they do with the shopping? I hope they were able to get everything on the list and didn't add to much to it.
