In a shocker, Laurie Hernandez has been left out of the all around gymnastics competition for the American women in the Olympics! Hernandez finished second in the Olympic trials and has consistently score high all year in competitions. For some reason though Marta Karolyi, the team's coordinator, overlooked her for Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman. I watched the last competition before the Olypmic trials and was thoroughly impressed with Hernandez's performance and her attitude. I feel like Karolyi did the US a disservice by not choosing her for the all around team.

Gabby Douglas "had" to be on the team because she's a Gold Medal name.

Yep, but I'm not so sure Raisman needed to be on there. Simon Biles was a must, of course.

@Lolaze It is strange. If she had some sort of nagging injury, I would think it would have been revealed.

@JohnRoberts Agreed. I think there is some reason Marta doesn't like her, but it's not coming out.

I guess there was a reason why she was not chosen.

I'm sure there is a reason, but I think it's more of Marta disliking her for some reason than her performance.
