"Caught selling drugs"

One of the parishioners was absent to serve in this morning's mass. He's a friend of mine. When I entered the sacristy I saw one of the lectors and told her that my friend will not be serving today as he was caught selling drugs. (There has been a series of arrests these days of drug pushers with the ascent of Mayor Duterte to the Presidency of the country.)
The lector's eyes widened in disbelief and exclaimed "Really? He was caught selling illegal drugs?" I laughed and said "He was selling Flower drugs. " The lector laughed aloud and told me "You fool!"
My friend actually works at a pharmacy called Flower Drug Company and he was sent by his boss to another island to deliver a dental chair for his boss' cousin hehehe!

Yes and it's just fortunate for the country to have elected Duterte who does not care if he becomes unpopular with the way he's running after these plagues of society.

A lector is a reader at mass. He or she reads the first and second readings of the mass on Sundays. Likewise, the lector reads the psalm and the "prayers of the faithful".
