Getting Ready to Take Off / myLot

I went for my morning walk through Edgewater Park this morning and decided to check out a pond I hadn't really spent a lot of time around. I saw this heron sitting on the far side and got a photo of it as it was getting ready to take off.

I got lucky with this one. They are very skittish birds but this one stayed still long enough for me to get close enough for the photo.
