Adam Lewis reports the news on Tuesday the Seattle Mariners have activated from the 15 day disabled list infielder Ketel Marte. Marte had been placed on the 15 day disabled list since July 23 which was retroactive to July 20 with a bout of mononucleosis. To make room for Marte on the Mariners 25 man active roster the management of the team demoted former Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Mike Freeman to their AAA minor league team the Tacoma Rainiers. Freeman was picked up off waivers by the team on August 1 after the Arizona Diamondbacks designated him for assignment a few days earlier. The Mariners are host the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday at Safeco Field in Seattle Washington where Marte will be in the starting lineup.

I just saw Freeman play over the weekend. He was lucky to be picked up.

You are correct since Freeman has been sent to the minors again.
