Google Docs bad experience

Hi Mylot Friends, I have never used Google Docs application till now, I do not know how use it also. Actually I am using word document. But in my laptop it is difficult to save the typed matter so I have tried this time with Google Docs. I have typed 3 to 4 pages, I have tried to copy it when selecting the matter i lost some matter. How to save in Google Docs and how to use Google Docs application, please share your experience.
