Last night was tragic. My brother who is a drunkard gets into a fight with his wife. He has always been like this every time his head covered with alcohol.
Then he beats his kids and I cannot tolerate it anymore. So I dial 911 for Police assistant.
The policemen came and ask about me since I am the complainant. The police said that since the kids are involved, chances is, my brother will be in prison. The wife pleaded me not to file a complaint instead they will settle it in our Barangay for formality.
And so I told the police I will not file a complaint and we will settle it since it is a Family issue and sorry. The police said that the next time I call there will be no chance for my brother to be pardoned. He will go to jail eventually.
I really don't know what to do with him. We want him to learn his lesson. Hopefully what happened last night will make him think about it.

you did the right thing. If he was my brother, he'd surely be in jail right now.

@JustBhem child abuse is the worst a parent could do to his own child.

Yes it is. Thats is why the police said that he will rot in jail once the kids will tell of what he did. The wife was scared for him to go to jail so I take my complain back.

What you did is just proper, you should never tolerate that kind of attitude. At least now your brother will think twice harming his kids and his wife.

@JustBhem What you have done will surely teach him a lesson. There is nothing wrong with what you have done because you are helping them.

@JustBhem I know this is an old post but still sorry for your brother's behaviour one this day. I'd like to think your brother learned his lesson or he is going to need some serious help! I hope things have improved with him and how he treats his wife and children!

Good call of action! The fear of going to jail just may be the push he needs to get himself straightened out.

I don't no why some people drink in such a way that they can't take care of themselves and also harm to others.
