Can Some one Help me?

Crikey what a blooming racket. A car has just this minute pulled up somewhere outside with their radio up really loud. The bass on their radio is making the floor in our apartment vibrate in sympathy. I can feel the vibrations through my feet as I type this. I have to be at least forty or fifty feet away and the noise is louder than the TV. It is a wonder that some folk have any functioning hearing left. How can they go around in that sort of racket for any length of time. Thank goodness they have gone now and peace and quiet reigns once more. So can someone help me understand how they can sit in such a racket. It has to be so much louder where they were than where I was hearing and even that was much too loud for comfort.

No I can't help you - I find it extremely annoying myself. We live near a school and there is one chap who sits in his car outside our house waiting for his child, and he has his radio on full blast. Grr.

@jaboUK I wouldn't mind so much if they were actually playing real music instead of that headbanging bass beat disco type music that they all seem to love.

@LadyDuck The ones that I hear Anna seem always to have a very strong bass and repetitive almost hypnotic beat so it is never something that I particularly want to hear lol...

@maggs224 right? If it was a neighbor I would be tempted to start doing things to their lawn at night and stuff in retribution

@Jessicalynnt I am just happy that I don't live next door to one of these people it is bad enough when they go past in their cars but at least they move on.

I don't understand it myself. I have a cousin who lost part of his hearing due to listening to loud music. He ended up having to have surgery and he was lucky that his hearing was restored.

@simone10 Maybe that is the answer Sharon, these people have damaged their hearing so badly that this is the volume that they need in order to hear what they are playing on their stereo lol..

@maggs224 You are probably right. They probably have no clue that there is anything wrong with their hearing.

Actually, there are really people who loves loud music. My husband is one of them and I hate him when he opens our sound system and plays very loud music. He even bought big speakers and put them in our house too. Good thing he plays the sound when I'm not at home.

@Macarrosel I like music but when the volume is up that loud and the bass and the beat is all you can really hear, I am glad when it stops. My husband plays the drums and I am sure that is why he has lost part of his hearing. The loudness of the instrument I am sure has damaged his hearing over time.

@Marilynda1225 The ones that I have seen have all been young Marilyn but that is not to say that there are some older people that do this too.

I cannot explain it, happens all the time here. I once saw a policeman pull a car over and rip off an antenna. Probably illegal, but the noise level was outrageous.
