Collecting Pennies... / myLot

When I see a penny lying around on the street often enough I walk past and don't pick it up. Why bother as it's only a penny? But thinking about it... pennies, though a very small denomination, do add up. I used to think collecting pennies is useless but it's not. I have cashed out hundreds of dollars worth of pennies... Yeah, nothing but pennies. If I ever see a penny on the street I should definitely pick it up. A penny here, a penny there and before I know it, along with those in my piggy bank, I'll have a whole pile of them to put in the bank. If you see a penny lying around on the street do you pick it up?

I have a penny jar. When it is full I take it to the supermarket and use what I get to buy Freya the Catblog Cat more cat food.

I don't have a penny jar. I put the pennies into those coin rolls and then take them to the bank and either deposit into the bank or ask them to give me bills instead.

I usually don't pick up pennies because I don't want to look poor.

But that's contradictory, because I care about pennies online.

I guess that's just because electronic currency has no size or weight.

Yeah I have that thought sometimes too about looking poor so don't pick it up. Plus, I can be lazy to bend down and pick it up. But I bet if it were more than a penny I'd not be lazy to bend down lol.

If I see any money, I'd pick it up, sure. My change all goes in a coin bank I have on top of my book case. It's a cute one I picked up at a thrift shop. It's shaped like a milk bottle, ceramic, and it says "Rainy Day Monday" on it. I should take a pic of it and post it on here sometime.
