What a wonderful Tuesday.

Hi ya'll how ya doin?? 
I wasn't on much yesterday cuz I actually went shopping and finally met up with a friend of mine for lunch, hadn't seen her in a few months so we had a lot to talk about.
We met at the Village Inn where I ordered that build yer own breakfast and asked for my eggs to be over medium. What a shock when I get the eggs and only the white was cooked, turns out that over easy means runny egg whites which to me means raw, over medium means cooked egg whites but uncooked yolks and over hard means well done as in over cooked. I have to wonder why any restaurant would serve almost raw eggs which could lead to salmonella and other diseases. I'd always thought over easy meant cooked egg whites and runny yolks, what is your idea of over easy eggs?
My friend was smart, she ordered oatmeal which is hard to screw up ..... I hate oatmeal so that never even crossed my mind.
That's Max in the photo, his color has faded a bit over the years but when he was young he was a really bright orange, he's 14 now. Not bad for an old cat, right?

one ne'er knows 'bout those egg orders. diff'rent places call 'em by diff'rent names fer some odd reason. i agree with yer analogy. perhaps ya shoulda jest ordered 'em scrambled?? nah, that's not been wise neither coz they've brought me out plates 'f that runnin' back'n the day.
glad'ja got to spend that time with yer friend. no doubt did'ja both good :)

Well good @crazyhorseladycx I have a friend who feels sorry for me because I'm out here alone, I had to remind her that with 3 cats and a dog I am hardly alone ...... she laughed and said that I should be round people more, HA, not so sure I'd survive that.

@rebelann now why'd i feel sorry fer ya, hon?? i rarely leave this place myself - by choice. momma'd be more'n happy to haul me 'round if'n i wished. i prefer to be out here with jest the critters 'n mother nature...'n when i can't be outdoors, i've got my attempts 't sewin' to keep me most busy, lol.
i'm glad that'cher were able to do so. :)

Don't know why you said not to worry but at least I know I won't be eating there again.
Yep, he really is fairly healthy ..... he does seem happy.

The way you described your preference is what dad always called over easy
It was a nice day to be out too, it wasn't too hot so leaving my furbabies for a few hours didn't bother me so much and I needed to be out and about.
He loves attention and will do almost anything so I will pet him. Poor old guy is shedding so badly I hate to pet him but I do brush him which he enjoys as well. Boy, I thought my two were bad

Yeah, I thought I had the concept of over easy right, I think I'm going to write to Village Inn corporate to let them know what goes on in their restaurants here in El Paso.

Max is so cute @rebelann . He looks like my outside cat named Big Red. Yup, over easy means cooked whites and runny yolks in my book.

I agree with you on the eggs--not sure how they could even be served if the whites are still runny! I think they were trying to make excuses for screwing up your eggs. Max is a beauty!

Over easy to me would mean that the white of the egg is cooked and the yolk is runny. I like mine over hard as in over cooked. lol
Max is very handsome guy. I feel in love as soon as I seen his beautiful face. He looks great for his age.

I wish I knew what that stupid manager was thinking when she actually told me that over easy was when an egg is only flipped once ..... didn't she know that to flip an egg the white has to be cooked? K, I answered that, obviously not
