Taylor Smith reports the news the Los Angeles Dodgers have promoted from their AAA minor league team the Oklahoma City Dodgers right handed relief pitcher Casey Fien. Fien who had been released by the Minnesota Twins on May 5 was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Dodgers on May 7. Fien was sent to the Oklahoma City Dodgers to get in some work to prepare him to pitch in the Major League Baseball level. Fien was called up by the Los Angeles Dodgers on May 28, 2016. Fien was sent to the 15 day disabled list on July 19, 2016 with tendinitis on his right tendinitis on his right elbow. Fien will replace right handed pitcher Brock Stewart on their 25 man active roster on Tuesday. Stewart will return to the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Tuesday after a brief stay with the Los Angeles Dodgers that began on Sunday.
