Homemade Gifts

When I was in college I made many homemade gifts for my friends, as was a poor college student with to many bills and a small income. This year, I'm working less hours, so returning to making homemade gifts. I enjoy baking and cooking, so will be making lots of homemade foods for my friends. I intend to try making jam or jelly and have been looking at recipes online. This will be my first time making them, so hopefully this is easy. I received some jam jars last year and plan to put them to good use soon. If anyone has any advice its welcomed, as I want to do the jars correctly, as I know they need to go into the food sealing machine to be safe for future eating. I use to do a lot of knitting and in my most recent move all I found were slippers without mates, so unless I was planning to give friends a different color slipper for each foot I have a lot of work to do on slippers. The funny part is all the slippers are the same size in my pile. No, my friends don't wear the same size. I think the movers lost at least 1 box sadly. What is the most unusual thing that happened to you after moving? I know my slipper pile is bad, but it can be fixed by doing a lot of knitting before the holidays.

I admire your concern for your friends, your generosity, and thoughtfulness. I believe that our world needs men and women who have the thoughtfulness like you do. Making homemade gifts is wonderful, especially for friends who may not have the time to make those you are preparing. May you continue to be blessed as you add value to other people's lives. The world is not too crowded for more of your kind. Thank you.

Thanks for posting and truly believe if people work together we can all make a difference. Its never the cost of a gift that is important, as spending time working on their gift really means I have had that person on my mind during the time I work on completing the gift. You can never have to many friends.
