How Far would you Go ?

As I think about work, and how it could work my nerves, I have a question. When a decent job with decent pay was not too close, how far would you go to work? It is something to think about in an economy that is hit or miss. Opportunity knocks when it chooses to, and if you are allowed a good one, how many mile would you trek. Gas prices are a definite concern, but I am referring to a job that would make the price of gas an afterthought. Ever thought about this?

Anyone who's got nothing would take anything.

Hi Sol. I agree sacrifices will be made by the most desperate, but one does not want to be the sacrifice. Personally, I would not drive over 4 hours back and forth to work.

@Talknpen I used to have a coworker who commutes 4 hours everyday for a meager teacher's salary. And he was always the early bird.

@sol_cee 4 hours is my limit. I commend that teacher's drive to work as he drives 4 hours each day.

If I didn't have any chance to move, I wouldn't like to travel for more than half an hour. It also depends on the work shifts. Maybe up to an hour if they're decent. If I had a chance to move exactly in the city where I found the opportunity, I would even go overseas. As long as they speak English or a language I would be fond of enough to learn it fast.

Hello Sabrina. You sound like a good candidate for a lot of opportunities. It is good you know your limits. The trip to work is just as important as the rest of the decisions you may make.
