This Windy Eureka

Eureka makes some pretty good vacuum cleaners. As I recall, I have had some that worked well. But this one is more trouble than it is worth. I did a bit of a parody of the song “Mariah” to express how I feel. “Eureka blows the dust around and sets the dirt a’flyin’, Eureka made this motor sound like folks are in there dyin’.” Remember that tune from “Paint Your Wagon?” Anyway, the dust does blow; you have to chase it down and get right on top of it since so much wind comes out of the bottom of this thing. Noisy? You should wear ear protection to be in the same room. I finally talked Anne into a new one, not an expensive one (we have that covered with her deluxe old Kirby. I don’t like it either). This new one pulls the dust off the floor and the rugs with a finger tip adjustment. You don’t get as much exercise though and the dust bunnies don’t have a chance. Have you ever had a vacuum cleaner that blew dust around?

Yes and when that happened it was time to replace it. We now have no rug so no need to have a vacuum cleaner.

That must be a real relief. I wish I could get rid of the carpet in this mobile home.

LOL, I'm sorry about the bad vacuum but that's an awesome song. I'm glad you got a new vacuum.

We've had several vacuum cleaners some better than others. We had a Kirby many years ago and it took us years to pay it off.

Yes, I think there is a lot of hype about how great they are.

I don't even know off hand what the brand of my vacuum is, but it's also more of a pain than it's worth. Every time we use it we have to stop in the middle and unplug the hose. Of course if we didn't have so many animals that might not be an issue.

I've been pretty unlucky with vacuum cleaners - they never seem to do what they are supposed to.

Eureka is an odd name for a vacuum cleaner. I've got a cheap (German) specimen which has done its duty for many years.
