Day 155
Psalm 134
Psalm 134:1 < Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD.
2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.
3 The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion. (KJV)
When was the last time you blessed someone or were blessed by someone? It doesn’t take much to bless someone, just a moment of your time, and that person will feel that blessing for the rest of his or her day or life.
The psalmist felt God’s blessings on his life every moment of his life. He not only felt it, but he wanted everyone to experience God’s blessings on their lives. He showed his praise of all God did for him by telling everyone about God’s work in their lives and told his fellow servants, priests, to bless the LORD with him. He even told them why they should bless God, because he created heaven and earth.
When you look at your life and all you have been through and how God brought you through each day, there is no reason why we shouldn’t give praise to God and bless him. He has done amazing things in yours and my life, and I give glory and honor to God, blessing him who lives forever. He has forgiven you of every wrong you committed or will commit. His love goes beyond our imagination. So lift your hands and bless the LORD and give him praise and honor for all he has done for you.
Let’s pray: Father, your love is beyond my imagination. Help me to lift my hands to bless you every day of my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
