Will you feel sad about such a thing?

Yesterday, my five-year-old niece was picked up by her parents from my Mom's home for a two-week holiday. Up till now, this little girl hasn't given a call to my Mom since she left. My Mom is feeling a little lost now because my niece has been looked after by my Mom for 3 years. While my niece was so excited when her parents came back from their working city to receive her. I comforted my Mom that she is only five years old and is full of curiosity about new things and new places. But my Mom still feels not good. How about you? Will you feel sad or lost about such a thing?

of course.. your mom got too attached with the child.. i think that's how one would feel when you get attached to something or someone.. just like my parents to my son.. they were with me from the day i got pregnant until i gave birth, when my son gets sick they were with us,.. as me and my husband were planning to move out as soon as we get stable jobs, they didn't like the idea coz they will not see him everyday

Yes, you are right. I think I should ask my niece to give her grandma a call.

@Carol2015 I can understand your Mum's feeling for the little one. Three years is a long time to have a good bonding relationship. You're right to comfort your Mum that she's only five and may not be old enough to understand or missed your Mum's care. Anyway perhaps with time she may call your Mum.

Yeah, I hope so. Anyway, after two weeks, the little girl will come back. I also should spare some time to stay with my Mum.
