The power of Facebook

A few weeks back, I watched a TV show which featured a sick mom looking for her lost son. She lost him 20 years ago. The boy was only 2 years old when he was allegedly kidnapped. They asked for the help of NBI but it seem to have no use. They didn't find him. This year when the mother posted it on Facebook, it took the attention of the netizens and fortunately her story was captured by a TV show. It broke the heart of many people as she shed tears looking back to the past. After a week a young man caught netizen's attention when he said he also posted on Facebook last year that he was looking for his biological parents. His account was swarmed with followers. Even I have become a stalker of his profile trying to get answers. People believed he was the lost son and posted comparisons of his pictures and the lost boy..many have seen the similarities but couldn't make sure because the guy didn't post assurance to the public that he was the one.. It was said the he went for DNA test. Everyone was waiting for the answer. Most have assumed he was really the one because of the pictures and after some weeks from the DNA testing his posts were short, unclear but meaningful.. Then today, I checked his profile to see some updates, I saw the mother responding to people's comments and acting like he was really the one. His post doesn't confirm that he is the son since it is not officially announced. They were never aired on the TV show again,no continuation of their story on TV, but I think they both found each other.. The meaningful posts are enough for me to tell that they really are the mother and son. The power of Facebook. It's like a lost and found section.. and because of that I salute Mark Zuckerberg for creating such wonderful site.. it helped many lives get better.

True. Facebook is really helpful, but not all the time. It is also used by some to destroy other people's lives.

@carexing25 There are cases that people's identity were posted then they discovered that what they posted were wrong.

Wow, that is one happy story at Facebook . It is so powerful indeed that some scammers take the opportunity to scam people.
