Are there car-free sundays in your locality...are they really useful?

It is basically giving up on cars and motorcycles for some hours or in some places, a day I guess. In our area, it is just for 2 hours every Sunday (morning 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.), which is very less I know. People can indulge in activities like walking, cycling (I wonder how that is allowed), zumba, yoga and fitness and some art and music classes are also undertaken. I still feel that it is actually overcrowded and a chaotic atmosphere prevails there, I dont think it is stress free in any way (as far as I am concerned)...what do you people think...is it really useful for you?

Yeah we do have that, just not very regular. It's a great initiative though, the city is always so lively on those car-free days.
