What does Soul Mate mean to you?

I went to see a psychic a few weeks ago. I have seen her 3 times now. First 2 times was to contact my mum. I really don't mind if you don't believe in it. It wont offend me. Whether it's real or not, it actually put my mind at peace. After so many years, this woman seriously helped me put some unwanted thoughts to rest. So again, it's ok to answer and say you don't believe but personally, I am happy. Last time was not to contact my mum or get a message from the other side. It was for a different reason which doesn't need to be spoken about really. I shuffled the tarot cards. Long story short, she placed two cards together. The Travel card and the Soul Mate card. She said that there is something going on there that would be great for me but something is blocking it from happening. I have my own thoughts on that and I think I know what that's about. But that's another thing that doesn't really need to be spoken about. I feel like a soul mate is someone who you just get along with. That you feel a strong connection to them. A feeling you've never felt with anyone else. Who you can share anything with. Someone you think about every day. etc I have my own opinions on what soul mate means but was wondering what you guys thought. What does soul mate mean to you? Have you met your soul mate? Can you have more than one soul mate?

When I hear the word "soulmate" I think of what I heard Dr. Phil say many years ago. And that was that no one has a "soulmate." I think what most people think of as a soulmate is someone you are in love with. You may have a better idea of what as soulmate should be. I, myself, have alway heard the word used in the sense of being someone who you are in love with.

@RichardMeister It is a word that is confusing as well as self-explanatory. I guess it depend on a person and how deep the connection is?

I believe you can have a strong affinity with several people. I'm not in touch with most of these people anymore. Life is a train: people come, people go. I don't believe in the "soul mate" when it means it's supposed to be your prince charming, you can't rule over love, not even when affinity is strong.

@sabtraversa I understand where you are coming from! I do agree with the people coming and going thing too! That's is very true! It's ok that you don't believe in the soul mate thing. Many people wouldn't. I just think if we can at least have people in our lives who we get along with then that's just good enough! :)

Meany that you are, putting up topics I have decided not to touch with you in conversations. Whatever, I will try answering it safely. So, a soul mate to my understanding is one who will liven up your soul. The one whose thought alone makes you come alive and make you happy deep inside. Fill your heart with warmth! Well I am a hopeless romantic at heart so my views are not practical. More like a fantasy!

@VivaLaDani13 I hear ya! Today I was reading some articles on Quora. They are like question and answers type. The answers are actually pretty informational. Much better than Yahoo. It was about falling in love the second time or how you knew that you were in love. Want me to share the link?
