Taylor Smith reports the news on Thursday the Toronto Blue Jays have activated from the 15 day disabled list outfielder Jose Bautista. Bautista had been placed on the 15 day disabled list with a sprain on his left knee that kept him out of the lineup. To make room for Bautista on the Blue Jays 25 man active roster, the Blue Jays have optioned infielder Ryan Goins to their AAA minor league team the Buffalo Bisons. Since the Blue Jays are currently in first place in the American League East Division one half game ahead of the Boston Red Sox as of games played on Thursday. The Blue Jays will be hosting the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at their stadium Rogers Centre on Thursday. Bautista is expected to be in the starting lineup. If Bautista can stay healthy and produce for his team for the rest of the current baseball season, the Blue Jays chances of going back to the playoffs will increase.

That is okay since Bautista and the Blue Jays are not exactly household names in ESPN world of sports.
