“Magazine” was Heart’s second record album though released third. The group had a falling out with Mushroom Records and bolted to Portrait Records to make “Little Queen.” Mushroom released an unauthorized version of “Magazine.” The band sued Mushroom, seized artistic control and redid the album. The final result went platinum yielding a hit single in “Heartless” reaching Billboard Hot 100 #24. “Ya keep on sinnin’ in the the name of rock and roll heartless, heartless” I really have no clue what the song is really about but “Heartless” is strong and really sounds good. Maybe it is Ann ripping into a guy’s heartlessness. Hard to tell from the lyrics and a feminist tone pervades through many Heart songs during this period. Ann sings soft then goes trademark high.

I love Heart and this is one of my favorite songs by them. I came across it one day as I was searching for their music on YouTube.

I like to listen to all the free bands when they are playing in parks but I never pay attention to the name of the band.

Hahaha I was just scrolling through your posts seeing if there was anything interesting to me and I saw these heart posts. I kept scrolling thinking gosh I don't recognize any of these songs about hearts... I thought you meant literal hearts as in our bodies hahah. Now I see why I do not recognize any of the songs I am not a listener to the band Hearts. I don't have much time for mylot for the rest of the night so I am glad that I got this chuckle before I quit for the day.
