Starting A New Book Tonight

My Own Book,

Last night I finally finished this book "Stalin's Secret Agents" and tonight I am beginning to read this promising book "The Race Underground: Boston, New York, and the Incredible Rivalry That Built America’s First Subway". Can't wait to read about all the fraud that went on those 2 projects. It is nothing new today to have bribery on huge projects, it did exist even then. So, I won't be on Mylot too much longer tonight as I am already tired from gardening and walking today. So up to the bedroom and let's the reading begin.

I have a few books I'm reading here and there. Yet, these two books you've mentioned I think I will look into. My problem is I'll have a few books unfinished and yet I just have to have more to read. Ah well. That's a reader's life.

@marlina I need to do that. I tell myself I will, and sadly I never keep my word to myself. Ah well. I recently finished Anne Rice's The Wolf Gift. I have to finish reading Stephen King's Firestarter, Susan Tisdale's Laiden's Daughter, and War and Peace.

Have fun reading! I'm a big fan of New York's subway system and its long history. I might have to pick up a copy of that book you're reading!

@moffittjc Yes, I do love to read but mostly history books. I am waiting for cataract surgery and it is not so easy to read these days. It takes a lot more of focusing.

So far I am really enjoying this book, read quite a few pages last night. I got the book on sale a few weeks ago, I found 7 interesting books that day. Lots of reading ahead.

@marlina It appears you really love to read! I am avid reader too, and could sit and read entire books over the course of a weekend and be in absolute heaven. Unfortunately, my eyes are showing signs of their age, so I get eye strain much easier now when I try to read for long periods of time.

I prefer to listen the audio book. I feel tired after reading a few pages of book.

I find it much more interesting to read a printed book than to listen to it. Not my cup of tea.

I'm also planning to have more books read by the end of this year because I feel like I have wasted a lot of time watching TV. I bet it is always more fulfilling to read a book than watch TV. I am currently reading "Your Road Map to Success by John Maxwell" I will try to read some Fiction books once I finish that.
