According to weather experts, at the start of September, our country will be experiencing the La Niña phenomenon and it will last for six months. So, it is expected to have heavy rain every now and then until February 2017. I hope everyone is safe during those times. Any thoughts?

Wow, that sounds like a horrible thing for those whose roofs are leaking. I sure hope that the rain will fall in Indonesia to douse out the forest fires. The smoke from the fire moves over to Singapore and Malaysia, and we are breathing in the hazardous air. I do not understand why they have to keep on burning the forest year after year during the dry season.

@Macarrosel No, the forest fires are not natural. The plantations owners use short cut to get rid of the old plants, and they burn forest to clear land for planting new trees.

@scheng1 Really? In our country, burning of trees, and anything in the forests is prohibited by law and if get caught, they will surely be in jail.

I think such forest fire just started by itself and no one lighted it on. This is due to too much heat and super dry grasses. I just hope they can stop the burning now.

You're garden will be happy during the first few days but it will be sad later on due to so much rain coming. I also hope everyone is really safe and no devastating things happen.

@Macarrosel I think the trees can handle it but the herbs, spices and shrubs will be overwhelmed.

My thoughts on this is that I feel sorry for all the people living there and having to put up with so much rain.

Yes, that's really bad news for us here especially in areas which are prone to flooding. I hope everyone is safe during those times.

You will have more on the start of September due to La Niña. The rain that you have right now is due to northeast monsoon and not yet due to La Niña. Be safe there always.

Well, this is climate change and I guess think the probability is high. But I believe the good weather will still prevail.
