Sometimes, I feel tired with those retirement plan, retirement news and retirement this or that. Frist of all , I don't think I need others to tell me how to retire and when to retire. Secondly, retirement seems to be telling the world that I am done and I am finished in this world in terms of contribution to others. At last, these news are telling the other that there are some people whop once have contribution to this world but now......they need you to take care of them be offering whole bunch of discount or special benefit to them. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't say that treating senior citizens nice is not a good thing. in fact, I think it is very good for both the senior citizens and for the younger generation as well. It is good to have the younger generation on learning how to respect the older generation and how to honor their work in the past. It is also a good thing for the older generation to experience reward after their hard work in life. However, there are some not that old people who can still have contribution to this world because they have good health and energy as well. I hate it when I heard people starting to retire in their 40's or 50's . Well, if those people can still do many constructive things in this world, I don't understand why do people keep on thinking early retirement and waste their time and their life like this. Well, that's what I feel anyway . What do you think? Share with us ?

I guess if you're able to retire early you have the chance to spend some time doing what you want to do which could well involve helping others a lot more than you could when you were working full-time. Certainly many retirees continue to lead very useful, constructive lives.

If they can retire at 40s or 50s, why not? They are getting out of the corporate world, so that younger generation can climb up the corporate ladder. i sure hope that more people can retire in their 40s.

In my opinion, retiring is not telling the world that I am done and I am finished in this world in terms of contribution to others. Actually, it is the opposite, when you retire early you would have more time to contribute to society.I actually plan to retire by the time I am 45 years old because I want to spend time tending to my future children and more time to travel the world and exploring different cultures.

My husband and I would still love and are willing to continue working with good paying jobs pass our 'legal' retirement age of 70. Thankfully, Australians are encouraged to work and generate money for ourselves and the economy, regardless of 'old' age. Young people here are encouraged to work, even doing menial jobs , such as lawn mowing... etc...
