I was going to mow

I worked my first day and it was quite a day. Children who have problems verbally ten to act out over change. I was not one on one with the little guy, but boy, I am tired.
I got stopped by a policeman less than two blocks from work. HE says my brake lights and directionals in back do not work. Here at home they work fine. Not sure on that one.
When I got home I could clearly see that I need to mow the lawn. Especially since Labor Day Weekend is a big deal in our community with a parade and everything.
I got supper ready and we sat down to eat stroganoff meatballs. And the thunder started. Then the rain.
Miss Princess sat under the tree, during the rain, all curled up. She came in briefly but is now outside again, enjoying the rain.
Mowing can wait, I guess.

I need to as well, but the grass needs to dry out, I am going to keep checking outside every hour.

Too bad you didn't mow before the rain came. Nice to have the rain on a newly mowed lawn. Sounds like a nice evening any way.

We just finished the wettest August on record. It has rained part of every day for about a week.

I know how that is. I did mow yesterday, in front, and so did Bob. That is roughly 1/3 of the yard.

The car may have some intermittent issues. The car resembles a "hot car" a bit, and he could have been checking it out. It just does not seem to fit with this small town though. I drive ten miles to work, and this was almost within site of the school. I would like to get my grass mowed before labor day, as they use the field across the street to stage the parade.

@GardenGerty yes. On occasion our neighbor will mow it and we pay a kid that lives in our trailer park to mow it too.He uses the money to help his dad. So we are helping them out as well.

Yep, and it just provides a wonderful place for bugs to be. We have a holiday coming up and I would like it to look nice.

It was funny to me, though, that the cat did not want in. She did not really want to be wet, but she just enjoyed being there. I wonder what she could see?
