Some writing sites have separate areas they can chat back and forth in forums.

This site has article writing and discussions built together in on the same page so nothing gets lost in translation. I think a lot of sites will do best if they keep the topic within the framework of the feedback of the readers to help provide more for the content of each article written. Back in the day it was different at one site although that site no longer exists. At another site you would have options to comment but moreover you also had several categorical forums that allowed writers to vent their concerns in a way that was like Facebook is today. In any case, there are pros and cons to both of these platforms. I like myLot because it has both platforms within one single discussion directly under the subject of the discussion and that is probably why this site is such a success.

It is nice to interact on sites like that Anthony, but I agree with you about myLot.

Yes there are some sites that restrict forums entirely and won't even bother giving that idea a thought. I think Bubblews was that kind of site.

I like it that we can just chat back and forth through the comments. On some days when it's busy here @lookatdesktop I enjoy it when I comment and see that I have a comment right back.
