Thinking of publishing an ebook

I have been wanting to write an ebook since a long time. Now I want to publish an ebook of my poems. But I have no experience of how to do it. I have read a lot of articles about how to publish a kindle book. I want to know if any of you have any experience in publishing an ebook. Which platform did you use and how has been your experience

@ModernDayWriter ohhh..I would love to visit the book fair someday...not just because of amazon people being there but because this book fair is so popular.

I have no guts to have an ebook of my own so I have no idea how to do it. Anyway, good luck for your ebook of poems. Maybe you can post some of your creations here for us to read.
