What The Previous Owners Did!

It will be a good idea in the future but right now, it's a pain in the butt! The previous owners decided to plant a whole ton of little ever green trees around the perimeter of the property as a snow break and I just spent the last hour cutting the weeds out from under them.
I think that I'm going to need to choose 5 trees at a time and get down on my hands and knees to cut away/clip all of the weeds. If I'm not careful, I am going to have that horrific back ache that I had last week. That is the last thing that I want!!
It just takes a little planning!

Do you have any old carpet? I cut big circles from old carpet once, a smaller circle out of the middle then slit from the outside to the centre. These went round the base of the little trees and helped keep the weeds under control.
