Mice make wonderful pets, I have had a few, Rats as well. My computer mouse on the other hand makes me so mad at times i want to throw it..lol

Yes, they move so fast and they're so creepy. Once there was a mouse in the house and my mother and I set up a barricade of books to keep the little fella by the door so we could get him out of the house (even though I hate them I couldn't stand to kill it). We opened the front door and my mom was standing outside. I got the broom and as he started to jump I just swung the broom and it made it fly out the door. It was funny because even in the air his little feet were still running. It almost hit my mom too. It hit the ground and took off running. It was so funny because during the entire event I was screaming my head off.

Out in the open they are scary, but if you have them as a pet they are alright. I had pet rats for years and they are very smart and sweet.
