I am so frustrated...

I have the money to pay my rent. I found out that if I pay it today, I won't get charged a $100 late fee. They gave us an extra day to pay it, due to the holiday. But I can not find one person that I can trust with my money, that has a paypal account, and they don't want one. Here it is... I can get my rent paid. Avoid the late fee, and have no way of getting it out. As it is...I have $4 to my name to last me an entire month, so without the money from my paypal account, my rent won't get paid. Sigh...

That's lame for you. I have no idea how to get money off my paypal. Need to figure that out. Do we need a 3rd party? An individual? You mentioned finding someone trustworthy

Yes... But I would have to send the money to a person who has paypal, and they in turn can transfer it to their bank. But would need to be able to front the money to me via moneygram, because they would have their money. It would be in their paypal account, but would have to wait the 2-3 days to retrieve it out of their checking. Have I confused you?

@teresatrotter haha..yes you have! So, you have money in paypal? Can one not get the money from paypal directly into their own bank acct or moneygram (i dont know what that is either)?

This is the first time I've heard of late fees on rent? I don't think they have that here or if it is legal. I suppose like any bill...but they are not credit card companies or lending money so interest charges.. confused here. In any case if you pay rent it is always better to do so.

@teresatrotter It doesn't seem right to me to charge interest or late fees but I can understand demanding payment or else. No one wants the or else.

@teresatrotter I'm not 100% sure because I always pay my rent with post dated cheques with an account that can go overdrawn. Oh yuk.

Contact the landlord and ask if PayPal will be an acceptable way to pay this month. Sometimes they will allow it. It might be worth getting the PayPal prepaid debit card. I have one, and it lets me pull money directly from my PayPal account at an ATM or at a register when I make a purchase with it.

I did and they said no. I once had one of those, but had to close the entire account out. So I have not had a chance to get another one yet. This was my first activity since I opened the account.

I don't understand why you can't pay directly from your Paypal account. It's an instant transfer, so if the money is there why can't you do that? You just need the email of the company you are paying it to, just as I had yours - the money was there within minutes of it being sent.

They don't have it set up that way... It has to be paid with a debit or credit card directly, or the money has to be in the bank, and as mentioned, it will get there too late. I am screwed. There is nothing I can do...
