Exchanging Post Cards: Part 2

United States
September 6, 2016 11:26pm CST
Well, now I’m excited. I got several persons to participate in exchanging post cards. I have their addresses and I will be sending out post cards to all before the end of the week. I think this is such a wonderful idea. I have lots of post cards from all of my travels, but I want to send out some from where I live NOW and I’m having a difficult time finding any postcards. My daughter keeps saying she knows where to get some Virginia post cards but hasn’t gotten them for me yet. So, tomorrow I’m going to make another effort to find them myself. There are lots of Visitor Centers in this area, so I’m going to get on the phone tomorrow and call ALL of them until I find some place that has post cards. You will be hearing from me as soon as I have them in my hand. If you want to exchange post cards with me, just send me your address on a Private Message and I will be happy to send you a post card. Then, hopefully, you will also send one to me.

I never realized postcards were hard to come by till i decided to send some of myLot members postcards. Anyway must admit l was so disappointed,l did not expect a thank you,but the minimum l expected was*the card got here* I sent about 10 cards,l got 2 thank yous. Maybe l expect too much but to me personally, the minimum they could have done was let me know the cards got there.

Yes, I agree. I would always return the favor. I have a couple post cards from Switzerland that I got when I was there. One is a photo of Berner Oberland On the back of the post card it says: Das konigliche Dreigestirn Elger, Monch, Jungfrau and the other two are from Luzern where we stayed. They are photos of the covered bridge that burned just before we arrived and has now, hopefully, been restored. I heard that it was deliberate arson. SAD.

@miniam Yes, we took a train ride from Lucerne to Bern and it was enchanting to see the blue lakes and snow covered areas and the chalets. It was February.

Some towns seem to have a heap of postcards but others have very few.

I'm determined to find some post cards tomorrow. I think I can find them at one of the Visitor Centers around here. I'm going to call each one of them first.
