This Indian snack is so popular with children, youth, women, married or unmarried that you have to see it with your eyes to believe. As the afternoon sun mellows phuchka vendors begin to set up their stalls at street corners, parks, market places and so on. Some of them go around neighborhoods pushing their carts. The snack is known with different names in different parts of India. In Bengal, its name is phuchka, in central India Golgappa and in Mumbai it is sold as Pani Puri. Have you ever tried it? If not, go to the part of your city where Indians live. You are sure to find a stall selling this evening snack.
