The Paralympics are incredible! / myLot

I am hooked on the TV coverage of the Paralympic Games from Rio. In many ways, they are far more watchable than the Olympics, particulrly when you know something about the hardships that competitors have had to undergo in their lives. I gather that most Americans are simply not interested. This is a great shame - you don't know what you're missing!

It's very inspiring, isn't it? It's a shame that a lot of people don't bother to watch. I sometimes think it would be better to have the Paralympics first, before the other Olympics. Maybe then people would be more inclined to watch. Ideally you would have them running silmultenously.

I'm not sure that running them simultaneously would work - it would be an administrative nightmare apart from anything else.

Certainly it is amazing what some of these people have achieved. We have a local girl participating in the dressage.

I do not watch sports things but you are right watching Paralypmic Games are important to watch.

As you are aware, this discussion started when I was active on MyLot nearly 18 months ago! We're nearly ready for the next event, namely the Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
