Do you prefer a long response or just a few words when someone is responding to your discussion topic? I responded to someone and kind of told my story(wasn't very long). And they responded by thanking me for the long response. Should I be offended or do you think she was being sincere?

I think she was being sincere. I prefer getting longer response and when others do a discussion and say respond with yes or no I make sure I respond with a longer one there as well....Mylot I'm pretty sure says not to do the yes and no ones...looks and the do's and don'ts.... yep here it is the 7th line from the top of don'ts in mylots terms: Don't start discussions asking for one word answers like “Yes or No”. so keep them longer responses coming

Thanks for your response. This is only my second day on here so I wasn't sure if I was doing it wrong or not. I tend to say alot even in the most simplest questions. I guess it doesn't matter. If they think what I'm saying is to long they don't have to read it. Maybe someone that is writing in the same discussion is interested in what I'm saying. LOL

I wouldn't be offended if you posted a long response to any of my discussions. I prefer someone responding with some thought and not just posting "yes", "no" or "I don't know". That really irritates me. I do hope she was being sincere.

I hope she was too. It kind of bothered me at first because I was just speaking my mind and figured that's what she wanted to hear but then I got to thinking about it. If I have something to say I guess she shouldn't get mad about it. At least I responded, you know what I mean?

Well, one side, they couldbe just wanting toget more money, as thir topic gets mor attentionand some real geniune replies, or get a rating, but on the other hand, they could be really glad someone answered somethingbesides yes or no. oubt it was an offense though..

Thanks. I was just wondering. It seems alot of people were responding with just a yes or no so I wasn't sure if I was the only one long winded or not.
