Price of cable TV is getting higher now days

I do not know how much the cable TV connection costs now. But it was definitely one 1/5th of what my DTH costs today. I pay 1000 INR which is almost equal to 15 dollars per month. But you could opt for lesser number of channels. I still do not understand why on earth I should have channels that I don't want to see bundled together and forced down my gullet and me having to opt out of some simply because adding them will make it more expensive for me. As to cable, I was paying just 3 dollars per month. Reception broke down many times and dad felt it was risky with new people coming every time to check it. But we could use it even in my computer. So if I wanted to watch some program different than what dad wanted, I could. Ah well...

I have Comcast. Cable is getting expensive because people are buying so companies up their prices.

Cable TV, Dish Network is pricey. We don't often watch TV so we don't have any. We have free channels and I'm subscribed to Netflix & Hulu ($20 for both monthly)

Do you know you can make partial payments and not paid the whole bill at once. My cable is like yours or higher and I $100 on it every other week but call them and let them know this arrangement or extension.
