Favorite German Bands #7 - Accept / myLot

Germany has produced a lot of great music, so I'm dedicating an entire series, Favorite German Bands, to that country. We're at #7, with heavy metal band accept. Although technically, the band was formed in the late sixties, the band became Accept in 1976 (according to Wikipedia.) Their heavy metal was the real deal (do not confuse them with hair metal,) a heavy duty sound that blew away a lot of what passed for metal in the 80's. Take their signature song, the title track from their 1983 album Balls to the Wall. A song about human rights, "Balls to the Wall" simply rocks. And the video is a blast. How can anyone top then-vocalist Udo Dirkshneider riding a wrecking ball into a brick wall? Can't be done! But seriously, Accept is one of the all-time great German metal bands, better than the likes of Gravedigger. Enjoy the official video:

I certainly hope Tokio Hotel makes it to that list! They are one of my favorites! :-)

I'll admit that I had to go to You Tube and check them out. Good band. They remind me of someone, but I can't figure it out at the moment. I liked what I heard.
