What management style you are using on your team?

Leading a team is indeed difficult because of uncertain events that could happen. It is also true that you can't please everybody. Is it good to be autocratic, democratic or what? Is there any specific management style that needs to be implemented in some situation?

In Singapore, a lot of companies literally uses 'micro-manage' style but doesn't admit it. They mask it over trying to act like being diplomatic but right under, the decision has already been made.

Management style is so hard to put your finger on, but I think in general a good manager gives clear directions and actually stays pretty hands-off, but is ready and available to jump in to offer guidance, expertise, and help when needed. I try my best to make that my management style.
