If you were the stepfather (or stepmother) and your partner died, would you raise the children?

What would you do if you were the stepfather or stepmother of some very young children and your partner died? Would you keep being a parent to them, or try to get them adopted by someone else?

This depends on whether the other natural parent were alive and fit to parent them. I'm sure I'd want to still raise them.We just don't know by the question if the other parent is still in the picture.

It totally depends on the kind of relationship you share with the children. If they adore you and treat you like their own then why not adopt them yourself

If there was no other biological parent then yes I would most definitely raise the children. I would consider them mine. I could never give them up to be raised by another.
