This is Apatot beach in our little town of San Esteban. Not yet a famous tourist destination bit it is making some good impression now. The beach have white sands but bigger than sands of Boracay. But like Boracay, the sunset here is magical. With coconut trees and apatot trees and the shades, it's worth to visit because of panoramic view and serene nature.

That is a very lovely photograph. Thanks for sharing it. Where is this place? Where is Apatot Beach located? I'm not familiar with San Esteban. Is this is Ilocos?

@ilocosboy I should visit Ilocos in the near future. The farthest I've gone up north is at Vigan.

San Esteban is one of the coastal town of our province, Ilocos Sur, one of the northernmost province of the Philippine. We have a lot of beautiful beach here, some have fine white sands and some are black sand.

i hope apatot beach stays clean and pretty, even when other people start to discover it. we had an apatot (noni) tree. at first we thought it was guyabano (soursop).

@ilocosboy i knew about noni juice back then, but didn't know what it looked like. then someone asked if they can pick the fruits and that's how we came to know more about that tree. then later my mother had it cut down.

Thank you so much, the place is really the best for unwinding, not yet disturbed and nature is still in this place, natural resources like grass in the beach and even in the hills, corals, fishes and house of the residents who are friendly.

I was able to visit Ilocos years back and we went to Pagudpud. There are a lot of beautiful tourist destinations in your place. I would prefer your beaches than in Boracay. Boracay tend to be too crowded already.

Its good the national road passes many coastal towns in our province, but you have not yet seen the beautiful ones. Of course, Pagudpud is the most popular here because it has been developed as tourist destination.

@ilocosboy I see. We just spent two days there because we've visiting various places like Baguio, Vigan, Subic and many others. Basically a short trip in Northern Luzon.
