The day after the night before

Last night was the season premier of 'Survivor'.....season 33. My husband and I have watched this show since day one. Last night's show was a thriller with that storm and the fact that for the first time in the show's history they removed everyone from the island and took them to safety. The next morning when they saw their 'home' they had a lot of work to do cleaning up and setting up camp. I know this is just a show, entertainment. What gets me is when one of them say, "I didn't now it would be so hard out here." Doesn't that person watch TV? Have they never seen the show? Today for us is a visit to our attorney's office to sign the wills. Yes, that was a while ago we met with him to get things going. I keep telling everyone they move slow in the south. So have a great day everyone. PS - I imagine many of you younger people have never seen a TV like that one LOL. Photo: pixabay.com/en/vintage-tv-tv-old-transistor-1116587/

You probably don't have time to watch much TV with such a large family.

@mom210 LOL - is that how it works, TV as birth control method.

@AbbyGreenhill Nope, we have been told many times that we really should watch more tv, we'd have a smaller family if we did

I am a huge Survivor fan, I even joined their Dream team when they shoot a Season here in my country. I cannot believe my age is actually considered a Milleneal, I thought I was considered a Gen ex because my childhood is in the 90's and my teenhood is in the early 2000's. Back to the topic, I bet Rachel wont be voted off first had she not volunteered to do the challenge. Female contestants have a high percentage of being voted off first even if they were not weak, so going Under the radar is crucial in first week. Here is she is volunteering to do puzzles. Had she shut up, Dave would have been voted off first. The Norwegian Version of Survivor evacuated the contestants multiple times in one season because they filmed a season in Antarctica. Something the American version wont do due to Bikinis.

@AbbyGreenhill Speaking of favorites, Next season will be an allstar season and some of my favorites from the past will be returning including winners. I wish winners will only return in an all winner season at least being voted off there means you are one of the best of the best. They were trying to ruin their legacy to be voted off first in allstar seasons where people who didnt even reached the merge on their first try can beat them.

I am glad she is gone, she 'talked' too much LOL. You do sound like you are a true fan and know lots of details. In a few weeks I'll ask you who you think will win.

I have seen such televisions before. I don't watch Survivor though it's very popular. The only reality show we watch is The Voice though they quite ruined by making Miley Cyrus a judge this year.

I don't watch any of the singing shows - the only one I care for a little bit is DWTS. Miley is a joke and should never be on any show.

@AbbyGreenhill I think the show started years ago, when we traveled large part of the year, so we never watched.

@LadyDuck It is strange to 'share' the tv with my husband one night a week LOL.

@AbbyGreenhil I do wonder at how that person could not know how hard it would be. That TV reminds me of one that we had a few years ago.

You would 'think' they would watch Survivor and know what it's about - maybe they think 'it will be easier for me'

@AbbyGreenhill I think maybe they believe that on TV they embellish the problems and make them seem worse so it will be more exciting for the viewers.

@HazySue That may be the case in truth but those storms they can't invent LOL. I know I would have said 'take me home'

I remember TVs like the one in the photo. It looks quite similar to one I had back in the 80s.

We have a nice LG HD TV - but that's as far as I go - I don't want a smart TV...I have enough electronics smarter than me as it is LOL.

I've watched some of the survivor series... that comment makes me laugh too... but the one that really makes me shake my head ..is that some of them don't know how to make a fire without matches... that's something they have to do nearly every season... why haven't they perfected some of these skills..., that sounds like an exciting first episode...I hope you enjoy the rest....

You're right about the fire - after 33 seasons I think I could start a fire LOL. It was good start, entertainment wise.

I don't like any of the 'talent' shows except DWTS. I mainly watch Lifetime or HGTV of food shows also.

Age is all in your mind LOL...and on your birth certificate. My husband had one of those when we met, I converted him to direct tv with a 'real' tv. LOL

@AbbyGreenhill We actually still have one of those big fat tv's in our bedroom. Can't wait to get a flat screen for in there. That thing takes up so much space!
