Crazy Life

If it's not one thing, it's another.
First of all, many of you know that my precious hubby had neck surgery over one month ago. The surgery itself was a success, but the recovery is very slow. He still can't raise his arms, but there have been other improvements, for which I am happy. His pain is much less, he is able to walk the 5/8 of a mile around our circle, and managed to shave himself this morning, although it was difficult for him.
Second, I've been ill with a sore throat and cold all week. All I have wanted to do was to crawl into bed for a snooze, but that wasn't possible caring for my hubby. To top that off, I was bitten on my eyelid by a bug when walking Doodles, the cat, a few days ago. I look like Quasimodo now, minus the hunchback!
But the worst is that my precious grandson is having an endoscopy Monday morning. You can see how thin he is in the photo at his soccer game. The doctor is going to check for polyps and make sure all is well in his digestive system. He will also be checked for food allergies. He is already allergic to lobster, his favorite.
So that's one of the reasons why you may not have heard from me. It's feast of famine with us, and right now it has been a famine.

Okay now I know what is going on, I wasn't sure what kind of polyps you were talking about. I am glad it is not anything serious, or at least not seriously serious being allergic to lobster is pretty bad. Is it all shell fish?

@Drosophila Oh, no! What a shame. His doctor told him to stay away from all shellfish for now. I feel your pain!

@DianneN It is a shame as I really do like chicken but I really hate spending time hovering over the toilet in the bathroom. Not my idea of a fun time. So I eat turkey instead. I'm glad your hubby is doing so well and hope your eye clears up soon. Good news about your grandson.

I am sorry for you to have those unwanted happenings in your family life. Good thing your husband has a progress. It's okay if you can't come here as often as you want. Take care of your family first but don't forget to take care of yourself Dianne.

I feel much better that my grandson is fine, afterall. Now we have extremely noisy workers in the house. My eye is still swollen and sore, but better than yesterday. And my husband didn't feel the need for medicine today! Thanks so much for asking.
