Another nice hike with a friend yesterday

My hiking buddy, who has since moved back to Santa Barbara, was in town this past weekend, so we took our ritual hike from Inspiration Point up in the Berkeley CA Hills.
We caught up on our respective jobs, family, relationships, Giants baseball, and the like.
As usual, we timed it so we'd catch the sunset on the way back. I noticed that the sun set over Marin County, maybe 15 degrees to the North of the Golden Gate bridge. There were no clouds in the sky, so it wasn't an "incredible sunset," but it was pretty nonetheless.
I'll attach a photo of a sunset I took on one of our hikes. The time of year was different (December 27th), so the sun actually set right over the Golden Gate Bridge (visible if you click on the photo) on that day. The Winter clouds made this one pretty fantastic.
What do you tend to discuss when you go on hikes or walks with friends? Do you notice things like where the sun is in the sky at different times of the year? Interesting that my friend and I didn't discuss current events or the election much yesterday.

@TheHorse .. We are women. We always have somebody to b*tch about...anyway, it is not a guy thing..lol. BTW ..DE was born somewhere between Sep 24 to Oct 23rd and on Oct 23rd my thumblina tumbled down into world. Just letting you know upcoming b'days that I know of. :)
And the picture is ..I am short of words...it is god's world...too large and too beautiful...

I guess it depends on who I'm hiking with. Friends, probably sports. My girlfriend, whatever she wants.

When you spend time outside with nature you tends to forget about the problems in the world and enjoyed and notice things you forget to see in nature.

Usually, we talk about whatever the other person feels like talking about.... Hmmm... no, we don't talk about the sky unless that is what the other person is interested in talking about. Most of the time, their kids, their wives or husbands.... sometimes recipes.... (shrug!) Usually the person talking recipes is a male friend trying to get me to tell him how to make something easy to fix for his kids supper... LOL!
