Haven't been scammed online. I'm on 3 sites (Upwork, Onehourtranslation and Microworkers) for almost a year now. I always receive prompt payments from those sites and the clients I worked with. If I would be required to pay something, then I'd move on. It pays to read reviews about the site. Likewise, check its mode/terms of payment and read its terms & conditions. For Upwork, I only submit bids and accept interviews from clients with verified payment methods. As for onehourtranslation and microworkers, I did an extensive research about those companies for weeks before I eventually joined them.
