Do you know how many times a week is okay to take a shower?

Most of us think the more the better but experts find out the ideal amount of showers a week. They claim that is not necessary to take a shower every day, and it is quite enough to take a shower twice a week. What do you think? For me it depends. People are different. As a person with daily physical activities, to me it is necessary to take a shower every day. I can't go to sleep sweaty, which will increase the chance of getting bacteria and other infections. Also, it is said that more you take a shower more you increase the chance of getting an infection since it affects our skin and it appears to cause more problems.

It's so hot and humid in Singapore we need to shower twice a day. Anyway a nice shower refreshes and wakes us up in the mornings and takes away tiredness at night.

I shower twice per day if I'm working and once if I'm not.

@supervalon I work split shifts a lot in a hot kitchen. Finish at 12pm so go home and shower then back at work at 7pm until I finish then come home and shower again.

In the summer I can shower up to 4 times a day if I'm doing dirty work and it's really hot. But that's generally a very rare occurrence. I showered twice yesterday because of said dirty work. I try to shower once a day, but sometimes I will miss it. If I'm on vacation and swimming a lot, I'm fine with not showering for even several days in a row (because if I'm completely underwater, doesn't that count as a bath?). Just to note, on repeat showers I won't shampoo my hair again. In fact some days I skip it to let the natural oils keep the hair healthy.

@supervalon It has to be really hot. It's as much of a cool down method as a cleaning one at that point. During a full summer hay session I will shower when I wake up to get clean, start preparing for the day, shower at noon to cool down before operations start, work to a point in the day and shower after I finish, and if the night is cool enough then that's it for the day, but if the night is hot still, I will shower to cool off right before bed so I can sleep. Just note that these shower sessions are really short when they are repeats. Although after being in the hot hay loft that shower might take a while because I'm passing out!

Yes yes I agree with you. But 4 times a day is too much for me lol. That's a lot of panties, socks, and in general sweeping clothes lol. No need of that much haha. I will just rinse myself if I get kind of dirty and that's it.. Once a day hehe.

Every body is different, some sweat soon, some doesn't. Some looks fresh with out bathing, some doesn't look fresh even after bathing. So, I guess the shower is surely something which is depending on someone's body type, comfort and also facilities. There are many cases where water isn't provided for even drinking. So, there are few people, who have to skip bathing without leaving any choice. But not always it makes any difference.
