How do you cope with your depression?

There are different ways of coping with depression I was wondering how others cope with theirs. I normally go to sleep when I get depressed and feel a bit better after.

@CaseyRoss9966 I wish I lived in a place where I could take pictures of nature but Memphis doesn't have as much nature as I'm used to

Sometimes depression is an emotion. Something bad or sad happens to us, and we are depressed about for a while, and then we learn to move on. This is normal. Other times though, depression can be an illness. Things are going well, nothing terrible is happening, yet we still can't seem to feel happiness or joy in our lives. This is clinical depression. Time to seek the advice of someone who can help. This might be a doctor, who can prescribe traditional medication, or someone who can lead us to the right natural remedies. Either way, I hope you feel better soon. (((HUGS)))

I seek distraction. Constant distraction because depression is never too far away.

I got depressed after graduating in college because after 10 months I am still jobless and my batchmates have a decent work already. All I do in that time is to sleep. I wake up, eat and go back to sleep and sleep and sleep. Even though my head is aching because of lots of hours of sleeping I still force my self to go back to sleep again.

Oversleeping can harm you more than help you sometimes. I understand when things are hard it's easier just to sleep but you have a college degree. Don't worry about what others have they don't matter what matters is what you have. Take each day one step at a time.

@Rven999666 yes. after days of over sleeping I thought of how will I have a job if I will give up just because few companies rejected me. Now I am celebrating my first working anniversary in one of the leading telecom company in my country.

I listen to soft, gentle music or close my mind off as best as I can then play around on the computer, but if they don't work I go to bed and sleep. I find sleep very easy when I'm in a depression, sometimes finding it difficult to fully wake up afterwards.

It's very important to note that depression is in different forms, and it's pain varies, Some forms of depression are more painful than others. But in whatever condition or in whatever depression, coping or managing depression isn't best, because it just keeps coming back, and the pain don't cease by managing it. Some employ smoking, some drinking hard, some womanize or rather manize, many pierce themselves, just many things people do to help their crushed souls; but the good news is this; No matter what you are going through right now, there's a WORD from GOD that can set your heart at rest. Contact me if necessary. #Peace
