Why dreams looks true untill to break?

We all see dreams during sleep..during dream we see yourself doing some works also your relatives...your friends..bike..car..and many accessories there in it..All these things looks true and real...until it breaks.While actual reality is that we are sleeping on bed..How it is happened..from where these things generated true and real in your dreams.

Its simple cognitive work which makes us think that its true.
We are constantly in contact with the life(reality) and hence we know certain taste, smell, feels of touch, etc.
When we are asleep, our brain is active. We think and imagine stuffs, and our subconscious helps our brain think that we could even sense it.
Hence, while dreaming we could taste, smell, etc etc. And that's what makes it look real.

But how the actual scene is generated means suppose you are at hill station in the dreams which is true untill you wake up while reality is that you are sleeping on bed and not at hill station...

But why they looks real? No one can know in dreams that he/she is watching a dream!
